DormHealth.org offers a specialized linen service for college students, supplying our branded linens to university dormitories and routinely exchanging used sets for freshly laundered replacements. Our mission is to promote health and convenience in student living spaces by ensuring regular access to clean, comfortable linens.

How does DormHealth.org work?

Receive Notification: Students receive a text and email reminder the day before their scheduled exchange, with the designated time and location for pick-up.

Drop-Off Used Linens: On the exchange day, students bring their used linens and towels to the drop-off location during their scheduled time slot.

Pick Up Fresh Linens: After a quick check-in, students hand in their used items and immediately receive a clean, freshly laundered set of linens and towels. The process takes just a few minutes.

Who can use DormHealth.org?

Any student living on campus or in nearby student housing can subscribe to DormHealth.org. We are currently focusing on university students and plan to expand in the future.

Which areas do you currently serve?

We are continually expanding our service areas. Currently, we are operational in the West LA region.

Service Plans and Pricing

What service plans are available, and how much do they cost?

DormHealth.org offers two main service plans—Weekly and Biweekly—with both quarterly and annual payment options:

  • Weekly Service:
    • Quarterly Plan: billed at $150 per quarter (10 weeks, 10 Exchanges).
    • Annual Plan: billed at $360 per year (save $90 annually).
  • Biweekly Service:
    • Quarterly Plan: billed at $100 per quarter (10 weeks, 5 exchanges).
    • Annual Plan: billed at $240 per year (save $60 annually).

Can I cancel or switch my plan mid-term?

No, cancellations or switching are not allowed until the end of your current term. Once you sign up for a quarterly or annual plan, you are committed to the full term. You will have the option to cancel, renew, or edit your subscription when the current term ends.

Can I switch from the quarterly term to the annual term?

Yes, you can switch from the quarterly term to the annual term at any time. The change will take effect immediately, and you’ll pay the prorated amount based on the annual rate for the remaining weeks of your current term.

Can I switch from the annual term to the quarterly term?

Switching from the annual term to the quarterly term is only allowed at the end of the current annual term. You’ll need to wait until the end of your annual term to make the change.

Is there a discount for signing up for the whole year?

Yes! The annual subscription offers a lower weekly rate compared to the quarterly term, for both the weekly and biweekly plan.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards and online payment platforms such as PayPal.

Are there any hidden fees?

There are no hidden fees. Optional insurance is available for an additional cost.

Linen and Towel Exchange

How often are linens and towels exchanged?

Linens and towels are exchanged weekly or biweekly. You will receive a fresh set on your scheduled exchange day at your designated pick-up/drop-off location.

What does the weekly/biweekly exchange include?

Each week, you’ll receive a fresh set of twin XL bed linens (fitted sheet, flat sheet, pillowcase) and a towel.

Do I have to be there in person for the exchange?

Yes, for the exchange to run smoothly, you need to bring your used linens to the designated drop-off point.

How does the exchange process work?

At this time, we offer a standard set of high-quality linens and towels.

Why is regular linen exchange important for health?

Regularly changing linens and towels helps reduce allergens, bacteria, and other germs that can accumulate over time, promoting a healthier living environment. Fresh linens also contribute to better sleep quality and overall well-being. We highly recommend our weekly exchange to maximize these health benefits and maintain the highest standard of cleanliness, but our biweekly exchange still provides an excellent level of hygiene and convenience for those seeking a more flexible option.

 

How are the linens and towels cleaned?

All linens and towels are professionally laundered using commercial-grade equipment and eco-friendly, hypoallergenic detergents to ensure they are thoroughly cleaned and safe for use.

Are the linens treated with antibacterial agents?

Yes, our linens are treated to be antibacterial and hypoallergenic, ensuring a cleaner and healthier dorm environment.

What happens to linens and towels once they are no longer usable?

When linens reach the end of their lifespan, they are responsibly recycled or repurposed.

Insurance and Damages

What happens if my linens or towels are lost?

If you have opted for insurance, DormHealth.org will cover the replacement cost for one full set per quarter. If additional items are lost beyond the insurance coverage, you will be charged $30 per item. Without insurance, any lost items will incur a replacement fee of $30 per item.

What happens if my linens or towels are damaged?

If you have opted for insurance, DormHealth.org will cover the replacement cost for one full set per quarter in case of excessive or intentional damage, such as purposeful tears, rips, or stains (e.g., ink, paint, or other substances that permanently damage the linens). If additional items are damaged beyond the insurance coverage, you will be charged $30 per item. Common wear and tear, as well as minor, unintentional stains, are not considered damage and do not incur replacement fees.

 

What is the optional insurance fee?

The optional insurance covers both loss and excessive damage to linens or towels. It’s priced at $10 per quarter or $20 per year, and protects you from replacement fees for one full set (fitted sheet, flat sheet, pillowcase, and towel) per quarter.

What happens if I don't buy the optional insurance?

Without insurance, any lost items will incur a replacement fee of $30 per item.

Account Management and Support

How do I create an account?

Once the user completes the checkout, an account is created that uses their name and email address. It then sends an Account Creation or Welcome Email to the provided email address. This email typically contains:

  • Confirmation that the account has been created.
  • A username (usually the email address).
  • A link to set a password or log in, depending on how WooCommerce is configured.

How can I update my account information?

Log in to your account on our website to update your personal information, service plan, payment details, or drop-off location.

Can I cancel my account anytime?

Yes, cancellation can be done anytime after the paid term expires.
