UCLA Housing Partners with DormHealth to Launch Campus Linen Plan
Los Angeles, CA. UCLA Housing has partnered with DormHealth to launch a campus-wide linen exchange program across its residence halls, bringing fresh bed and bath linens to thousands of on-campus residents.
The program, branded as the Bed & Bath Linen Plan, provides students with nearly 24/7 access to clean sheets and towels through a managed exchange system at residence hall front desks. DormHealth handles all program logistics, from enrollment and inventory management to vendor coordination and end-of-term billing.
A New Model for Campus Living
UCLA's decision reflects a growing trend among universities looking to improve the residential experience while reducing the operational burden on housing staff.
The partnership covers setup, linen supply, delivery logistics, operational software, and ongoing program support, all managed end-to-end by DormHealth.
How It Works
Residents enrolled in the Linen Plan visit their building's front desk to exchange used linens for a fresh set. Each transaction is logged digitally, giving administrators real-time visibility into inventory levels, exchange activity, and billing.
Students can view their account, check remaining allowances, and review their exchange history through a self-service portal accessible from any device.
Sustainability Impact
Centralized linen programs reduce the strain on shared laundry infrastructure and consolidate water and energy usage compared to individual in-unit washing. By handling bedding and towels through a professional laundering cycle rather than individual residential machines, the program reduces overall resource consumption per load.
